Located at the centre of the historic Oxford Covered Market and named after the traditional Neapolitan amulet worn to bring good luck and prosperity, Il Corno is inspired by Naples’ tasty and genuine culinary tradition and its renowned customs of hospitality. It specialises in one of the most iconic dishes of Neapolitan street-food: panuozzi, a long and flat sandwich made from pizza dough that can be enriched with different fillings, from mozzarella to friarielli broccoli, from provola to sausages. Il Corno also offers its guests other unique products from Neapolitan traditional food and drinks culture, including taralli, babà al rum, limoncello, and a delicious variety of Campania wines.
Il Corno regularly organises events promoting Neapolitan culture: from book clubs devoted to Neapolitan literature to tombola nights, from Italian culture quizzes to drink & write sessions inspired by Neapolitan stories, and Italo disco nights. Every year Il Corno hosts a series of public talks around Neapolitan history, culture, art, and literature, entitled Conversations Around Naples, delivered by academics on topics such as Neapolitan occultism, nineteenth-century travel accounts of foreigners visiting Naples, and Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan novels.
Come to Il Corno to relish delicious Neapolitan food and drinks while being immersed into Naples’s extraordinary cultural atmosphere and getting to know more about its unique culture and history.
